Great finds Bud! ;)

I wonder how the scouts keep their neckties in place? Seems like they all lost the keeper as many of these as I have seen on the forum! It gave me some incentive reading this post. I know where there are two scout camps that I went to as a child. Both have been abandoned and new camps built close by. I guess I should make a trip and see if they can be detected? No telling what the property looks like now or who owns it. I might use your post to talk ot the scout officials and ask permission, showing them what might be recovered. I realy would have no use for the items and would offer to donate them to the scouts as memorabilia....of course after I photograph them. Nice finds. Thanks for reminding me of another site to check out. JIM

Sweet finds!! jimmileo has a good idea too.

Nice finds! I wonder how old the camp is? Should produce a lot of coins and nice relics. You might have to use your imagination to figure out where they congregated if the site is over grown. HH, Mike

Oh I know where they congregated 'cause I was there only about 13 years old! There was a big circle of rocks...huge rocks that I doubt they could move by hand unless they had big machinery they are probably still there. Also, each hut was 3 sided with a fire pit out front. The fire pits would be interesting to dig too. JIM
