Old Road Tear-outs__Old Carriage Badge + Strange Bottle Cap Need help ID'ing

Hello All,

I will make this short, as my finds arent really that exciting

Went this weekend to another Road tearout on a very short hunt. (due to Heat)

Besides the 100+ RailRoad spikes and Plates, i was able to lock in on a few smaller targets. Nothing exicing...mainly just questionable items.

1. Embree & McLean Carriage Co. St Louis MO. I would love to know the date on this, i havent found much info on my searches.

2. Older looking bottle cap with someones face on it?
I thought it wa Woodrow Wilson, but the more I look, the more it seems to not be him

3. Some sort of Token? I found this about 6" deep under the orginal brick road.I scrubed the hell out of it, and see writing on it looks like "HURD", and this it has writing on the top that goes around the coin. and lastley on the back i see very fainlty "148"

Well, thanks for reading!..Any Help id'ing these items would be Extemly helpful.

Happy Huntin!

If you Google Embree & McLean Carriage Co. St Louis MO and click the first link you will see that they went out of business in 1907-1908

Cool stuff!

Hey D-N-D,

Here's a brief bit on Embree-McLean:

"The Embree McLean Carriage Co.

The Embree McLean Carriage Co., St Louis, Mo. were established and incorporated in 1889. Their capacity is 5,000 vehicles annually. Their present output consists entirely of carriages. The officers are Thos M McLean, president; Geo D Barnard, vice president; Jas G Embree, secretary; FB Schlotterbeck, general superintendent." Motor Body, Paint and Trim

The whiskey cap gentleman is Harry E. Wilken, Sr.
