Old River House Finds

Hello All. Hunted a 1900's inter coastal river front house yesterday. Great day for hunting here in FL, breezy, high temps are now in the low 70's, and the bugs are mostly gone.

Dug around (100) holes and found a nice variety of items including old bottle caps, vintage ammo, home made lead sinker (I think), strange light bulb, harmonica reed plates, compact case, (2) finials, a 1930's Cutex nail polish bottle, some nice buckles, guitar pin with "Made in Czechlosovakia" on the back, (4) wheaties, an IHC, and a REAL NICE Victorian sash buckle half.

Was hoping for some old silver too but I cannot complain about this hunt.

Great bunch of finds and nice variety.
Looks like an interesting and fun hunt. I really like that little 'Geetar pin. Plus, you even got an Indian.
That's a great hunt in my book.

Everything looks so well preserved too. The dirt in my area really destroys metal; especially copper. I've dug a few identical shell caps to some of yours but yours look WAY better. I'm assuming it's pretty sandy where you are.

Hi Garrett424. Thanks for the reply. Yes very sandy, this site also had a lot of crushed shell mixed in where they made drives, paths, etc. All well drained which OK for copper and brass I guess but we get so much rain and heat that small iron objects just evaporate down here. HH C9.
