OLD RING-- MOSTLY SILVER BUT SOME GOLD-- ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

I found this ring about 5 years ago!

Its stamped 925 but also has 9 to 10kt of gold on it, also has a large red garnet, maybe ruby but doubt its a ruby.

Ive taken this to every pawn shop I know in hopes of any information, also taken it to some jewelers, as well as a museum-- no luck lol

One jeweler told me the stones looks to be black onyx, thats when I was done talking to her since the stone is clearly red

Also had the gold on it test to be 9 to 10kts

Its a nice ring, just wish to talk to someone who could offer some help determining its value and etc

That certainly looks like the eagle that is on the Mexican flag so I would assume that's where the ring was made. Mexican jewelry tends to make me a little nervous about if it's real or not but since you said it tested positive for gold, I guess that's not an issue. I'm surprised that jewelers couldn't give you price. Why don't you think it's a ruby? Without knowing what the stone is and the weight of the ring, a guess on price would be difficult. Maybe try finding a more competent jeweler in your area?
