I thought it was a button but, the reverse side of it makes me think otherwise. It does have threading on the reverse so it screwed onto something. Any ideas or guesses are welcome. The cool old milky white patina pointy tip bullet is around .45 caliber. has been fired, and appears to have had two rings around it originally. Never found one quite like it and I do think it's old & cool. Thanks for any assistance on bullet identification as well. My buddy scored a 10k woman's wedding band and the sweetest looking pure silver ornate spoon I've ever seen today. We all had a ball. Adios.

Without measurements, my SWAG is .44 Cal Colt, cap and ball revolver. Later Civil War era.

I believe the round item is the cap from a tube such as toothpaste.

That would be some pretty old toothpaste judging by the pewter looking item. Not even sure when they started making toothpaste? Dunno'.

Your guess is probably a heck of a lot better than mine. This has to be one of my better bullet recoveries. The patina is smooth and even and this thing didn't hit a brick wall. :icon_thumleft: Thanks Mate.
