Old resort oat Cavanaugh Lake

There used to be a resort at Cavanaugh Lake from the roaring 20's (west of Chelsea and Ann Arbor). It should make an interesting area to detect at. There was a "floating" island in the middle of the lake which was popular for its bandstand and swimming. Good luck hunting.

1984 Pioneer high School do you know the Sumners Dave was a friend his dad was Police chief and the other son was a Police officer died in a helicopter accident. I used to work for the Bodanskis doing landscape work/

A2, yes, Scott Sumner was one of my best friends.The sad rest of the story was he had some fear of using that helicopter and he called me about it. I regretfully assured him it was ok and that it would take something catastrophic to bring it down as they will autorotate upon engine failure. From what I hear the gearbox failed locking up the blades so they could not autorotate. I have never been able to pass on my condolences to his wife as I have always felt so bad about it. Small world huh, i could tell you stories of stuff we used to get in trouble with. He was always larger than life. I still miss him terribly. His son was very young when that happened and would have spent little time with him before loosing him.

I talked with some other friends, I did not realize you were talking about Scott’s brother. Scott was a police chief in his own right so I had thought you were talking about him.

I lived in Metro-Detroit for over 30 years, did three projects for UofM. Two of my kids still live up there in Royal Oak.
