Yes and no, it's a button cover, missing the part that fastens it over a button. Is the size just under an inch I'm guessing?

It has the same sorta design as the "Conductor" Button I found last weekend....Im for sure its Railway Related.

Yep just under an inch. I guess brakeman was another job aboard a train, like the conductor. This is from wiki: A brakeman is a rail transport worker whose original job was to assist the braking of a train by applying brakes on individual wagons. The advent of through brakes on trains made this role redundant, although the name lives on in the United States where brakemen carry out a variety of functions both on the track and within trains. Pretty neat I didn't know any of that.

Thats What i love about dectecting...I hardley ever know what I really found, and it forces me to learn about it and the history!

Did you find that with your ATP? just curious cause my rang up dead on 78 and never moved

Yea I used the at pro. And it rang up the same I thought it was a penny for sure.

Kewl find,/finds ... I love this Hobby /Addiction . Finding stuff then being able to research the find's. Never liked History in School but am digging it now ... H.H. / R.R. stuff has to be My favorite ,besides Silver Ha ha ha No Gold yet but I'll dig pull tabs till My hand's hurt this year again... :skullflag:

You got that right about the bloody hands from digging pull tabs. I'll dig everyone when I come across them. You never know, could be gold.
