Today I went back to the wooded area where I found the crown of a gold ring on Sunday and thought
I could find the missing stone. . . but that was unsuccessful. However, I did manage to find the meager
remains of an old pocket watch, a Chicago Cubs key fob and a few odds & ends (bullets & a lead seal).
After about two hours, I went over to a new spot near a river backwater that I haven't hunted before and
that proved much more promising. It was free of modern trash so any signal that that was solid, I dug .
The first target I hit were the skeletal remains of a lady's purse. And where there's a purse, there's GOT to
to be some coin. . . right? Well, after I dug all the pieces to the purse and there was no change to be found,
I started spiraling out. . . and about five feet away, I got a solid hit. Fifteen minutes later, I was 13-cents richer
Not much, but they were older than me
Thanks for looking,
