I found this in the front yard of my house, built sometime around 1740-1750. Any ideas what it is or how old it is, I was thinking it was Victorian brooch, but it is colored on each side and I can't find a clasp. Any ideas?

I am fairly sure that it was a pendant for a necklace or a brooch and the clasp is missing as there is more rust and damage to the back. Even though both sides are painted, notice how the bow on the basket handle on the top is soldered on the front of it and not on both sides. It is also definitely Victorian.

Thanks for the ID! I am making this one as solved! Cool to think it was owned by someone who lived in my house over one hundred years ago.
