Old Post cards

Just curious.
These have been laying around collecting dust.
I thought for fun I would see what they might be worth.

They look like they're from the 40's made 50's also they look to be in great shape on fading rips or tears so that's a plus. They go for @ $2-$4 each. Famous land marks or places go for more Mt Rushmore, Yellow stone , NYC, Wash DC etc . Thanks for sharring them

They're called "linens" and the last poster got the dates close they were first produced in the 30's and some linen postcards were still produced until the late 1950's and early 60's. However you can buy them all day for a buck a piece at antique shows so that would be top dollar with the exception of the souvenir fold out type which could bring up to five bucks at a show.

The coolest postcard I ever found at an antique store was an 1894 postcard from the Church of the Holy Sepulcre. It was simply postmarked "Jerusalem". Not bad for 75 cents right?

Some of the older post cards have collectible stamps on them. Some people collect by topic such as railroad related, military, ships, animals, holidays, etc.
The hardest part is finding these individuals to sell to.
I once had an opportunity to purchase a huge box full for $10. It was a great price, but I just didn't have the time to sort them and find buyers.

$1.oo ea is a fair price. Been grabbing up what I can find around here. I've been lucky getting 4 - 5 for a buck from an old boy.
