Possibly a representation of the Victoria Cross :icon_scratch:

It looks like yours could also be worn as a pendant, from those loops.

Interesting find and, Welcome to TNet

It is most likely a Jubilee medallion. The Victorians were a very patriotic bunch and many different types were issued. The reverse of the coin may have the young Queen on it similar to the attached photos.

Looks like someone glued that coin on a US Marksmanship badge.

That's what I thought at first, Ramitt, but it's upside down. While looking for something else last night, ran across a boy scout badge like that, but they didn't have anything for scale, so couldn't tell.

Yes, it looks mounted upside to so it can hang. That may not be what it is, but the mounts and the medal look identical.

LOL that's what I thought, at first, too. At the same time, I was thinking that if you only have a marksman badge, why doll it up? Cruel, I know.

It was a sixpence.

Crusader, that was established in the first post, folks are now wondering about the other half.

If you read it came into question on the 3rd post. Thats why I pointed out the obivious. Also just because someone has 'established' it doesn't mean they are right (in this case they are). We have had plenty of examples of that one here.

I hear what you're saying Crusader, wasn't meant to step on your toes.
