old part of ship found after hurricane

hi me and my wife found this on Pensacola beach Fl after the hurricane I would lioke to know if anyone has any idea how old or something

I assume you mean you found the spike, not the $10 bill. I am not sure when they used brass spikes, but I know it wasn't recently. Were you able to take the spike home. Nice find...Lance

Looks to me like wormwood and specifically an inner cabin area piece of an old sailing ship.
