I am forcing myself to put in the hours with the Etrac, so today was the second trial in the past couple weeks and I went back to the same old park in Baltimore City.

Again, the Etrac showed it could operate in the presence of EMI. Today I got a number of firsts with my Etrac - first padlock, first silver, first IHC and first brass token.

The IHC was in the same hole with a 1918 wheat. In all I recovered 8 wheats. The silver is a big one as you see, a 1958D Franklin half. Another successful experiment....

Nice group of 1sts! The Etrac performed well for you!

Thanks cjon455! Yes, I'm digging on the numbers and it certainly helps to see the iron and conductivity values. This area has a lot of iron pieces in the ground and I did dig a number of these as well as bottle caps and the occasional pull tab and zinc penny but that's part of the learning curve and I probably would have dug the trash anyway.

Nice hunt, McCDig.......good to see you still workin' that park and getting excellent results!

Thanks Chizzy. Never did much on the west side of this park since my F75 didn't like the EMI, but I'm wondering how all these wheats and other finds have been passed over. This place has been "hammered". Think I'll be back with the Etrac for my next training session :)

Awesome digs! Looks like your doing good with your new detector. The Etrac is a great machine. I’ve been swinging mine for 6 years solid and I’m still impressed with how it performs. Go slow and dig those deep signals you will be a happy treasure hunter. Good luck!

Super hunt and Great Silver half! :headbang:

Yes, the silver half is great. Enjoy the new toy.

Nicely done! 🙌 You'll learn to love that machine...like I have.

Beautiful Franklin. I do believe your token is a tool or locker tag though. Not exactly a token. Unless of course you are not talking about the brass piece with the number on it.

I hope you find many many more silvers with the E-Trac. A great machine to master. I love the high pitch noise silver makes. Hearing that always brought a smile to my face.

That is one great hunt. Big silver, IHP and cool lock. You killed it and the Etrac ain’t no joke I hear.

I call my Etrac, "The Monster "
Stay with it McCDig,, you're on a roll.

Nice Mike, That Ben Must have been a big Surprise Coming out of the dirt!! Love pad locks too :)

Awesome old coin shooting! You are understanding the Minelab language...:icon_thumleft:

McCDig, that was a great dig with your new machine, You will learn to love the E-track.

It's a great machine in the line up of Explorers. Well done on the half and the other recoveries.

I love the lock and Indian. Nice digs.

Nice job McCdig. Those are some great finds.

Thx ScubaDetector! Yes, that #268 is likely a locker tag as this park has a public pool.
