Old park hunt: Indian, buffalo, v nickel, and silver!

Back to the 1891 park that yielded the key date Indian last week. Found another Indian head in pretty nice condition and of course it's not a key date. Found my second ever V nickel with pretty great detail. My first buffalo nickel oddly enough and a nice mercury dime to cap it off. I was running out of high tones so I started digging nickel signals this trip.

Thanks! It was nice while it lasted but it is pretty well picked over now. I have gone over it several times with my etrac and at Pro. Time to find a new spot.[emoji16]

Congrats on the excellent coin finds! You said you've gone over the spot several times- keep removing junk and digging the questionable signals and I almost guarantee you'll find more good things. My best location has been giving up the goods for 8 years. Sometimes I swear there is nothing left, but there always is.

I agree with the others as finding a park that gives up that many old keepers is a spot you should still consider.

Great coins on that outing. Along with the rest of the gang keep after it on this spot. Hit it after a soaking rain when the ground is saturated with moisture. Gotta' be some more good coins in there somewhere.

Yeah I will definitely be back there as my good spots around here are a bit limited. I just don't anticipate having more hunts like this but who knows. It is pretty trashy and it hasn't rained since I started hitting old coins in this spot so there is potential still.
