Congrats and keep at it. In your part of the world I would bet that there is some pretty amazing stuff. I'm thinking Spanish cobs and reales and maybe even gold!

Yes! As a matter of fact. Panama has a great Colonial history. As you may know all the Gold the Spanish took from Peru and South America pass through the Isthmus of Panama as it was the shorter way to the caribbean sea and to Spain. There are a lot of places to look up for treasure. Legends of Pirates and Spanish fleet losing their gold in shipwrecks. A lot of stories of people so rich that they had to bury their gold to avoid been attacked and robbed by bandits.
Most of these places are now protected by the Government, but there are so many places not yet explored that has amazing possibilities.
I know people that had found silver bars and Doblones with the Spanish Royal Seal nearby Portobello, wich was the most important trading port in the continent at that time.
That's the reason I bought a Metal Detector. Im still learning but some day I will find something spectacular! You'll See!

The hardest part for me starting out was learning the tones of my detector, once I had a fairly good idea what the tones meant, I started digging less trash(but I still get fooled daily!).:laughing7:

Keep at it, there are keepers awaiting your coil! :occasion14:
