The part of the state of VA that I live was a large apple producer in the mid 1800 thru the early 1900, we have had a lot of luck detecting in and around these old orchards. We have found old coins,relics and a lot of CW relics. If you can find an old orchard that was near CW activity, you should check it out. I think that the solders spent a lot of time in or around these sites. Even if it was not used by solders, a lot of activity took place there and we have found a lot of cool items. Just thought I would share what we have learned. Give it a try. HH
