I found this necklace while digging a Rev war campsite in Maine.
It has a trumpet clasp so it's most likely post 1840. The metal looks to be brass or copper.
There are 2 orange stones. The smaller one is cut nicely and really shines.
I have no idea what type of stones they are. My best guess is orange tourmaline, but it could be orange sapphire, or topaz.
I also don't know the age, but the design looks victorian.
All in all I had the best dig to date yesterday.
Any help would be appreciated.

By the shape and cut of the pendant stone and mount, I'm thinking it's more from the Art Deco era mid 1920's to 1930's It may have been thinly plated before. I also think the stone are imitation and maybe even colored glass, but I could be wrong. Best to have a jeweler inspected it first hand and see what they think?
