Found these items at a late 1700s thru 1800s site. The one is a mirror but not sure of anything about it any info? The second I have no clue maybe piece of furniture? image-87975792.webp image-3835681579.webp image-2792989396.webp image-2175653739.webp image-2246377490.webp image-2883164700.webp image-3169583408.webp image-2097172946.webp

From what I can see from the pics, your mirror looks to be an early Victorian hand mirror that belonged to a ladies Vanity Set. Generally the Vic. Vanity Sets included a comb, brush (sometimes a large & a small brush,) and mirror. Hopefully you can detect the area to see if you can find the rest of the set.

Neat find :)

Thanks Breezie. It's an old site and will be heading back there soon.

if not a brooch, then the backing for a drawer pull, that is the piece that attached to a drawer. I found one I think it was pewter. Your pic looks green to me, like copper alloy.

It may well also be mirror related -- that is, a chunk of the frame to a table mirror, also Victorian.

That mirror may have a makers mark on the perimeter edge of the handle. Many are made of cemented or pitch filled thin sterling silver as that's what I look for in old vanity pieces in antique stores.
