old mini ball???

Found this in a field in Missouri last year. Is this a mini ball? Anyone have any additional info or can date approximately?

Shotgun slug.

Yep on the shotgun slug. They can get your heart pumping at first though. Once found a French Triangle bullet and thought it was a shotgun slug. LOL! Glad I kept it and let my buddy see it as he knew it was a keeper and not a slug. Almost threw it out! Now, I don't throw anything away until I recheck everything. So you can teach an old dog new tricks. Good luck on future hunts!

This style is still made today, yours looks to be older, probably shot from a paper shell (actually very heavy, thick paper), 30's, 40's 50's ish......my grandfather gave me a bunch of old paper shotgun shells and slugs, but me being a dumb kid 30 years ago shot them all up instead of buying modern ones.
