Old mesilla house

Well I hunted old property for two days and found nothing but trash ,old beer cans ,old pull tabs and a few zinc Lincolns. I was disappointed I thought find some old coins but nothing. But it's was fun hunting my first property that ever ask for permission

You never know what you will find until you swing your coil on the property. I have had a few permissions that should've had old coins, but all I pulled was clad, bottle caps and pull tabs. Chin up, there are more sites just waiting for you.

You just began cleaning up just beneath the surface, keep chugging at it and the good stuff will appear.

I would suggest a small coil, grid it out, and hunt in layers. Might take a probe and look for a privy or trash pit. I have found working old sites there is a lot of old iron and cans. plus the surface trash from the wind. Too bad you couldnt get a dozer in there and remove the first six inches of dirt..

There are two sides to a story like this. Some sites look,great and produce very little, and some sites look like you won't find anything and bam jackpot.

The house look good it's located in historic old mesilla the owner said the house was built in the 1840s and bust!!!
