I always look for old pine and maple trees to hunt under, some of my best finds have come from these spots! I guess people back in the olden days used to spend a lot of time resting under them.

Thanks eboy, I hope you don't think I was trying to take away from your posted find.
Just wanted to make everyone aware that the base of trees almost always hold old finds. Usually because the tree roots tend to protect dropped relics from the elements.

My Grandad told of working a field in the 30's. Went to the lone shade tree left in the corner of the field to eat lunch. Found a half dime under that tree. Seems someone else had eaten lunch there sometime. So if ya ever see one tree in a field........
