old lock

OK so I know it's a lock but man this one's old. Any lock experts here can give me some info

Looks like a cross on a church and made of brass to boot.

"Smokehouse" lock from probably 1880's or so. Bunch of manufacturers including some English. Most likely US by William Wilcox (WWCo.) or Russell & Erwin (RE&Co.) Probably would have had a keyhole drop or cover at one time. Usually had some initials to indicate manufacturer. Little more unusual looking one with that decorative style of brass bushing. Most were a little more simple than yours. Cool.
