It is an 1800's wrought iron lever lock, but that's about all I can tell you about it. It use to have a keyhole dust cover that might have helped further with an ID.

Thanks - the date makes sense........I just looked at every lever lock on this site Antique Padlocks By David Heuermann and couldn't find a match....oh well.
