Old Little Spoon ?

It could be an opium spoon. It is decorated fancy and many of them were like that. I found a little silver opium spoon when I remodeled my house. It was just plain silver. I gave it to an undercover deputy I knew for his "collection"

Cleaned up?
No?
Then it is copper or brass or kryptonite
Decorated, then the child's spoon or ladies measuring spoon, perhaps?

Thats a cool find looks like some research will have to be done which can be fun on stuff like that.

It's magnetic, so no precious metal. Thought about doing electrolysis, but kind of like it, as found.

Okay, back in reply #2 I meant to say "cocaine spoon."

Good choices...!
It looks hand-made,
and I wonder about having the patterning on only the underside of the spoon - so, when not in use, or drip-drying, the beauty is revealed, in a display...?!

Great Find! :icon_thumright:

I'm with ffuries, I believe it may be a measuring spoon from a set. Do you have a measuring spoon set so you could compare the volume of your spoon?

So I did compare the spoon with the smallest measuring spoon. I have consulted a spoon collector, but he had no idea, as He thought it was before anything He was accustomed to seeing... Has anyone considered a snuff spoon? Just a thought. I've seen where the spoons were attached to the snuff bottle.

Snuff spoons have tiny bowls. Your item is a medicine spoon, aka baby spoon, aka measuring spoon(these are usually marked with how much they hold) Yours is probably older than the ones I'm posting, but you can do a search and find more of these.

classic hand forged child's spoon, not at all hard for even a novice smith to make.
