I found this at the corner of a stone foundation of a long gone farmhouse. Is it just a foundation patch? Weighs 57g.

I have seen pics of leather or cloth 'patches' holding flints.
I hope it is what you say - that's much more interesting than a roofing wedge

They used lead as well as leather or cloth. A lead wrapper from a flint usually looks like a doubled-over piece of lead, flattened, with a distinct "notch" cut into the side with the fold (this notch accomodated the turn screw on the pincers).
