I found these pieces of lead last weekend. The place was active from the 1800s to present. Military as well as civilian activity took place on the site. I suspect that this is relatively modern bulk lead for flashing or something like that. However, I don't want to throw away something that is good.

If it's solder it should be harder than lead. I think most solder is 50percnt tin. If soft like pure lead, it may be plumbers lead. Used in cast iron pipe joints
