1930's- 40's? The blade is hawkbill style if that helps.

Antique remington blades are selling for some decent prices... still looking for one with the same makers mark as yours... But with the wooden handle in such good shape (not pearrl, bone, antler) It may be worth a bit. :-\

Lot 81 Original Remington pair of knives. Wood hawkbill R708. Some etching , and a pearl three blade lobster R6434 . Both excellent. (ani) Minimum bid $40.00.

Either way it's a beauty! ;) Note: This stamping was used between 1933 and 1935 "I think".

Thanks for the info and link, looking at the one in your post MJ..I'm wondering if it makes a difference in the one I have has a hole in the end and the other not....

Maybe it was a varient... had a string or ring through it? I have no idea really...
