Can anyone ID this blade? Measures 6 inches total. Approx 1/16 inch thick and tapers towards tip.

oldbattleaxe said:If this blade was from a folding knife, what brand knife would it be? Need replies. Bill
oldbattleaxe said:Notice the hole has excessive wear on one side, typical of a folding knife. It is just too large to be a folding knife. The Buck blades all have a groove to open the blade with your nail.oldbattleaxe said:If this blade was from a folding knife, what brand knife would it be? Need replies. Bill

The american bowie knife was inspired after the Navaja clip knife. Interested in knowing how it wound up on the Ohio River near Nelsonville Ohio while hunting. I would also like to date the blade. Thanks for your help
