Primitive Wood Handled Homemade Double Bladed Food Chopper:


This old food chopper looks to have been hand-crafted. It has a wooden handle and two blades. Measures 5 1/2 inches wide. Shows a bit of light surface rust, mostly to the inside of the blades, and some surface wear as pictured.

Yes, it is an antique food chopper. Yours has rounded blades that turn upward, and they were made like that to be used in the round/ovate wooden dough bowls. They were also made with a single blade. Generally the wooden handles were made of maple. We've sold quite a few of these in our shop over the years, and most people display them inside of the wooden dough bowls. Nice find, Breezie
