My brother found this at a old cabin site about a 1000 feet away (same one as the drawing posted for pot belly stove on what is it forum )
We have searched and found some keys that look like it but not as big as this one (5" long) nor made of brass / bronze
most are all steel , we think this might have been a key to the old euclid station for the horse drawn wagon here in ontario california in the late 1800 or early 1900,but we can not find any history of its location, or it is a key for a strong box/safe
at a department store or church type door ( big door ).
Sorry for the bad pics this camera does not do close ups very good ( and yes it was in macro mode ).
