Old hunted out tavern

I got permission a couple of months ago to hunt at an old Tavern. The owner said I could come any time but that it was hunted pretty hard in the past and one guy hunted it last fall, I said that was fine and if I didn't find anything it still would be a nice day out for me. Well I finally got around to the place this morning and knocked and told him I would be outside mding, he wished me luck. Like he said it was fairly well hunted but I thought they always miss something. The something came about an hour an half into the hunt. A 6 foot strip in front of two old cabins finally rang in as coins. The buffalo nickel is in bad shape as are the wheat pennies but heck there older than me so thats a plus. :D I'm in kinda rough shape too but good for something. I found a 1935 and 1944 silver quarter, a 1948, 1940, 1925, and 1935 wheat penny, no date Buffalo, a Vermont Crime Stoppers pin, end of old light bulb, whatzit with holes in it, marble, 3 modern pennies, 1 dime, wad cutter bullet, brass shell, suspender clip, 2 sq nails, Hunters pin on compass, old tin mess cup. Not in pic 2 screw on bottle tops, 1 pop top, and one complete aluminum arrow missing feathers. I think I did pretty good for a hunted out spot.
Hope you all had a chance to get out today. ;)

It's a good thing it was hunted out, or no telling how much you would have to of drug home.

Nice finds there, but how old is the Tavern ....Mabe it dates back to the 1800's which may lead to deeper and older coins! :)

Hi Seeker the Tavern is late 1800's and the silver was found at 8 inches so I suspect there probably is older and deeper stuff but it is a farely manicured lawn now so I can make too much of a mess. I'm happy with what I have and if I ever see them digging I will aproach them again.
