Old House yields wheaties & silver
At lunchtime I went to our neighborhood park for a quick hunt where a woman came up to me to ask about metal detecting.. she then told me she has a home build either in the late 1800s or early 1900s and invited me over that evening to do some metal detecting.. the photo of the house, the yard blocked in red outline is all I was able to do in an hour & 1/2 as it was filled with clad, which brought me 2 quarters, dimes, and 46 pennies (all clad), along with 4 wheaties 1943,1943,1936,1953 and this nice 1897 Barber Dime.. which was right next to the main sidewalk (x). The Barber has nice detail, but the black tarish substance on the coin I don't know if it will clean off.. if anyone has a safe way to remove it, please let me know
