looks like the quarter was slowly brought to the melting point. Probably from burning trash

Not sure, reminds me of a paperweight for a desk but the wings things are flimsy and seem like there was more to them. May just never know!

Great finds - congrats !

It's up to you but ...
I've straitened out several Sliver coins that were curled up like yours in between two pieces of wood and hit with a hammer or put them in a Vise.
