I found these old hinges about a year apart from each other if anybody knows anything about them Beyond they are hinges I would be very interested and also I've been trying to get them to move and I cannot do it does anyone have any tips for that I have soaked them in every kind of oil imaginable 0228181019b-1.jpg

Spray them with Liquid Wrench penetrant (make sure it is the penetrant, as they make several versions of the product) and let it soak for at least 24 hours. After breaking several bolts on my 1930 Buick using WD-40 I tried this. The next day the nuts spun off with ease. It is the best stuff I have ever found for freeing up metal parts. I used to hate the stuff till I tried letting it soak.

I third that, except I use PB Blaster.

WD-40 is a Water Displacement solvent (that's what WD stands for...). It will help dissolve rust but it doesn't have any lubricant in it.

PB Blaster and Liquid Wrench are penetrating solvents with lubricating properties.

If all else fails, take a torch to it.

Best way I've found to get old hinges working again is to put them in a pot of 3 in one oil and put it on the stove at not quite a boil for a while, the heat expands the metal and lets the oil find it's way in to the hinge pin. There's a chance the pin is shot though and it might need to be replaced.

I can't tell you much about them other than they look a lot like the hinges on a built in cabinet I restored a while back in a 1920's house, but that style is still made, so dating them would be pretty difficult without knowing what they were originally on
