Haven’t posted in a while, but this one peaked my interest. Full disclosure, I am not a bottle guy. The bottle dumps I do find while detecting, I pass their location along to someone who cares. But metal detecting was slow today. Shotgun shells. I found one musket ball. I stumbled upon a bottle dump and decided to move a little dirt. Within seconds I unearthed a small clear bottle. Thought it might be an early Coca Cola bottle until I found the word Heinz on the bottom. Quick Google search showed this was likely the first style of Heinz ketchup bottle ever produced. Pretty cool in my book, even for a bottle. Love bottles. That's worth a few bucks to someone.

As a Philly native, I accept your compliment with cautious optimism. A pill that is easier to swallow considering the Phils took 2 of 3 from the Bucs this weekend.

no no nononononnono!!! Heinz makes ketchup!

That is a nice bottle find. I always like to see the older glass.

Pretty cool. Thanks for including the Heinz progression pic!
