old heidelberg - 100 year old any idea what it's worth?
My girlfriend inherited this porcelain figurine from her grandfather who passed away in Feb, he was 95. - he was a WW2 vet and was married to a German national, in his note with the figurine he said that this was from the 1880s and passed down and should be kept in the family. She now needs to find out what it's worth to settle his estate. anyhow, any help would be great because I have no idea what something like this goes for.
on the bottom is a number 5- on the back is what might be a serial number. (sorry about the so-so pics from the blackberry). I'm interested in hearing what anyone here might think about this piece.
Thanks -
Mike F.
