Picture 1 - Last hunt I went to an old haunt that we have done for years but haven't tried in a while.
The Winter Wheat was at a stage where it would be our last hunt until harvest.
Only spent 2 hours but had 14 coins - 1 nice one I need for the album.
Today, we returned to a New Roman Site I had researched. Last week we field walked it & found a pottery spread, so we knew we were on target.
Spent 2.5 hours but only ended in with 2 scrappies & a silver Victorian Brooch.
This is a head scratcher, as the cropmarks are good, the pot shards are numerous but the finds are not there!
Next week we will see if we can figure it out!
