Look what I found metal detecting! Just kidding. My friend had these given to him from his family. Apparently they've been in his family for a long time but he doesn't know anything about them. Any gun experts out there that can readily identify these guns? Thanks.

APpears to be a Sharps and Hankins .22 cal pepperbox. If you have all the parts and could see a serial number they bring between 400.00 and 600.00 in excellent condition. Any maker name visible on the revolver??? RETRAD

I'm not sure. I'll email my friend and ask him and put up the name, if any, on the revolver.

The revolver appears to be a bird's head grip 1870's/1880's style pocket revolver. There were a # of various mfg. at the time and were cheaply made.

The pepper box had multiple barrels, this one don't. Many of these little revolvers were made way back when . Designed to fit in a man's vest pocket, hence often called vest pocket revolvers. Several different brands were made, but all had very similar appearance. dYou can find examples at most gun shows, but I don't recall how much they are selling for. Seems to me they aren't too expensive. Monty
