Hoping someone can help me with information about this gun. It had 32caliber bullets but that's all I know about it. Thanks for any help. 20170207_125105.webp20170207_125024.webp20170207_125030.webp20170207_125043.webp20170207_125055.webp

-only by milliseconds Keith!
I do see inspection marks on yours. The eagle is on the rightrear of the trigger guard, but I can't make out what is opposite that, on the left side. Closeups might help, unless someone with better eyesight than me (which is most folks) can make it out.

I will try and get better pics and a serial number. The gun is from the estate of a WWII soldier but that's all I know. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

Supposedly, a pretty common war-trophy bring-back.
Per the Forgotton Weapons YouTube channel.

The Mauser HSc is a nice little pistol. They were issued to all branches of the Wehrmacht and there were some 250,000 of them issued from 1940 - 45. Yours could really use a good wipe down with an oiled rag and the finish may shine up a bit. Prices I could find currently (retail) run $600 up to $1200 + but it will depend a lot on how nice the finish is and which variant it is (I think yours is a 5th variety), also early or late war production could be a factor...

I found a weird forum online dedicated to this pistol if you want it. Anyway, I was able to sharpen the image and that unidentified stamp that's been mentioned: I haven't seen a single example with the same stamp. Anyway, I personally think it is a shield.
