I DID NOT FIND THIS COIN. My friend that owns the creek/river that I mine, told me about this coin months ago. I was at his home today and asked him if I could see it. He opened his safe and brought out a red plastic tool box. It held quite a lot of nuggets, and this coin. He told me he found it on the creek bed with a detector. When he saw ridges on the edge, he stopped digging. He got dental tools and tweezers and spent an hour or so to dig it out. Incredible! I definitely believe him. No reason not to. Anything special about it?

Is it a 2 1/2, a 5 or what? whats the mint mark if any?

Bigfish:
Dime-size is a quarter eagle.
Ask to see reverse and note if mint mark ('c', 'd', or 'o') is above the "2 1/2 D' legend. 'Plain' is most common, followed by 'o', 'c' and 'd' mints.
