I recently inherited this piece from my Grandmother.
She said it was found on the ground out behind some homes where the Reynolds (the tobacco Reynolds) Family often vacationed.
My grandfather purchased it for $100 from the lady that found it many many years ago.
One side has Two faces they look like women. The other a weird star pattern kinda.
I couldn't find or make out any makers mark.
She said it was pure gold, and that a jeweler offered him $2000 for it in the 1980s.
Looks like it, feels like it.
Is it an old coin of some kind?
Or a home made folk charm of some kind?
Any Ideas? Thank you much!
