Old German 22 single shot rifle. ID Please

I need some help to translate the german words on the side, its model 2.. says germany on the stock.. any help would be great. thanks..

As you can see, the important pictures 274 and 281 are out of focus. Does it say Gewehrfabrik Danzig? Meaning the Danzig Rifle Factory. WWI training rifle?

You got some good eyes there, I couldn't make out a thing, looks like you may have gotten it though. I planned on having a few shots of Maker's Mark to offset the blur of the pictures.

Maybe some better pics could be posted?

I believe this is a German WWI training rifle. Danzig was seperated from Germany in 1919 and I think its part of Poland now.

It does appear to be a WWI German training rifle. Germany and a few other countries used 22s as training rifles rather than waste all those big bullets. Tony
