I ran across some old newspaper clippings this one is mid 30s, seems the French established a post on the north side of red river at or near boggy river in 1750 they only stayed there 2 years then moved the fort.
look at the area using google earth, I thought about checking this out but to far from me thoutht someone in that area might be interisted.
