Old Flat Button?

Found this in a modern neighborhood in North Eastern Ohio but before the neighborhood was built there was a lot of activity in the late 1800s so I detected there. Only good find was this button, I don’t know much about these types of things so if anybody could give me any info on it would be appreciated. I think its copper and it was gold plated at one point. No detail on front but ornate design on back.

Lots of info on your c1830 - 40 period button. I would try and Google the makers name on the back and see what pops up. :thumbsup:

Nice find!

These are fairly common at old sites, and as mentioned above, are from the early-mid 1800s and made for civilian use. Indicative that there might be some old coins or other relics nearby!
