My buddy got an 1802 Barber too. I love it when research pays off! Few know that this site even exists.

NICE! Love the silver!

Congrats on the old coin shooting! :icon_thumleft:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Thanks! The landing was shown on an old map, but missing on newer ones. All that is there now to show that we had the right spot was a rock-lined berm that was the road. I suspect we could have found a lot more, but there was several feet of sand over the old road in most places, left over from years of flooding. The areas off to the side were even worse... just flood plain muck.

Very nice!! Congrats

That sure sounds like a good place to hunt! I can picture someone paying for the ferry and spilling change, or maybe trying to cross the river without it and taking a tumble. Maybe some old camps on the side! Nice silver!!!

Keep working that site. Ferry crossings should be very productive. Congrats on the Carson City (I'm a fan of CC coins)!

Very nice! That certainly is fun knowing youโ€™re one of few people alive to know that a place existed and then to recover history from it is ever better. Way to go!!

Great research, great results- Congrats!

Nice work on the research! I love CC mint coins too, nice score.

Those are some nice silvers! The seated might be worn, but is still really cool.
