I hit an old Farmstead that was pushed in and burned in the 70S. The brick foundation and basement is still there. found an old umc club shotgun shell and a few bullets. no coins. important using my ace 250 in coin mode and its finding tons of barbed wire and nails. is that normal with the discrimination for coins or should i change settings?

Run the Ace 250 with the sensitivity as high as you can without falsing and in All Metal mode. That being said, dig all targets above the last notch on the left, that you can get good repeatability on in all directions. This is what I discovered works the best with that machine, at least for me. I dug less trash and more good targets after I employed those settings/tactics. Hope this helps. HH and good luck!

Take 5 of the rusted nails you dig and a dime. Arrange the nails around the dime about 2-4 inches away on a piece of cardboard.
Do some testing with your ace (or any detector for that matter).
You will be surprised what will be hidden by nails and other iron objects.

Both great responses. thanks. i will give these a shot.
