HEY GUYS AND GALS

Out for a run today....beautiful day +10c.

Stopped at the first spot hit a nice 82-83 signal.....super for the F75.....couldn,t get the shovel in the ground....both feet on it 215 lbs jumping up and down. Had to leave it. !!!

So packed it in and went to a local farmer for permission to hunt his land...... first time I ever met him......nice fella................ he said sure help yourself. After chatting with him for a few minutes learned that he knows my 1st cousin who is also a farmer. So we got some decent fields to hunt next week.

Got to one of properties has a couple old foundations on it.... but it is infested with iron. Worst part of it was ....the rusty iron was deep 10-15 inches and deeper....it would sound off same as a copper coin with the same ID numbers !!!!!!!

Needless to say I dug a crap load of holes......there was only 1 small section that was pretty clean and thats where I got most of my finds.....even they were deep 10-14 inches...the soil was very fine and no rocks.....assume it musta been plowed before for things to be that deep.

The last 5 pics are COUSIN EDs finds for today. His belt buckle is big and heavy.... 2 men in a canoe...the back of it is cool with the EAGLE.

The button with the horses head has...."SUPER FINE QUALITY" on the back with a CROWN.... any ideas on its ID ?

So it begins, Aqua! Great hunt, buddy. :) Your finds have the juices flowing....I'm heading out on Friday for some action, as well.

That's a wicked buckle! I can't wait for the ID.

A nice assortment of interesting finds! good work...both of you! I did a little research on that buckle, I think it's only from the 1970s or so...it looked older to me.

That's a real nice looking button bro! That buckle is nice and chunky, I like it. Go easy on that poor shovel with your bud a** brotha. What'd that poor thing ever do to you anyway?

very nice!!

I think the button fits in with what they call Sportmens buttons... it's definitely made the same way, and would date the same. (mid. 1800s or so)

Is that a buckle, or something else? Being it has a part number I think it's off something, but what?

Ty grasshopper...

Figured it wasn,t very old...but still cool find..ED was all excited !!!

Unfortunately that company was founded in 1976. But it's still a cool looking find for sure. Great year as well, 1976. A great man named Abe was born into this fine treasure filled world :-)
