went to an old farm today and it was a good one. Dug several wheats, 1920 buffalo nickel, 1948 silver dime, 2 indians.......bringing me to 50 indians for the year!!!!

But the find of the day was the key date 1916P Walking Liberty Half Dollar! only 608,000 minted!!!! wooHOO! :hello2:

I almost did not dig this signal, VERY iffy signal, sorta scratchy, bouncy etc....I flipped it into quick mask and it did not help it was surrounded by iron. I could not even pinpoint it, so I flipped it into 2 tone ferrous and I got a halfway decent non ferrous signal but it sure was not a half dollar signal, it was reading like 12-49, 10-48,........like I said could not pinpoint there was just so much iron and the signal seemed to dance around. Cut the plug and started pulling out nails, then in the side of the hole I saw a big silver rim. Boy I did NOT expect to see that! First half of the year!

I had a tricky signal on the walker I just dug too. Really added to the surprise factor :D

Awesome find. I love hunting old farmsteads. Never know what might be in the hole.
