[Gene Mean]

This was on a farm. Looks like some sort of decorative lid. Any ideas?
This farm has been designated as preserved farmland which is nice here in NJ.

Interesting find Gene.. is it pot metal?
I don't see any sign of where hinges attached, maybe part a a kid's savings bank that was pried open?
It's almost too small for that though.

Close Dave. It's been ID'd as half a padlock.

That explains all those bits and pieces attached to the back side.
