Old Faithful gives up more CW bullets, etc.

Went back AGAIN to my same-old same-old place, and managed a few more bullets. I haven't been seriously hunting for three weeks, since I had a case of poison ivy that was almost bad enough to kill a person. Then I spent two days in the cardiac care unit of the local hospital, but that is another story........

I dug the three larger bullets all within about 5 feet of each other, all one after another. One of them has some significant cuts on it. Looks like some one was bored and just started hacking away with a knife. The fourth bullet has rifling marks on it, so I'm guessing a more modern (.30-30 ?) bullet. Can't say for sure. I'm no expert.

I also dug the two cannon ball fragments. Is the larger one a piece of the fuse?

Thanks for the comments, and wishes for better health. I'm better. Just some unexplained chest pains. Three EKG's determined no heart attack, and an MRI dismissed any blockages, so

At any rate, it's great to go out and find such wionderful artifacts, in areas that have been hammered for 40 years.

Allen, I'm just assuming they're CW, but the bullet types are right, they have the 'patina' (they're snow white, when you clean off the mud), and I'm digging them about where the Confederate trenches were in the defense of Dover, near Ft. Donelson (Yes, I'm on private property, with permission......). I'm NOT trying to be a wise a$$, so don't take it that way. I'm just explaining my 'evidence'.

Hope everyone is enjoying the snow. Yeah, winter got here in a BIG way overnight......
